Nancy A. Herrin Foundation

FROM THE FOUNDER

In honor of my late mother the Nancy A. Herrin Foundation Inc. was created. The foundation will continue to carry on what my mother believed in: the community she grew up in and supporting children. Giving back to the community is very important to me. I can remember while being a young child I looked up to people who were making a positive impact in our communities locally and state wide. I would like to help children in our communities in anyway possible. Helping our children's future is one of the most valuable investments that will be made with the Nancy A. Herrin Foundation Inc.

Literacy, mental health awareness, and various other issues that affect how individuals live their lives are important.  The foundation along with the help of supporting members will promote awareness of these areas. The foundation will also make contributions to food banks, homeless shelters, organizations, and other sources that help individuals who are in need.

I see the Nancy A. Herrin Foundation Inc. as a way to look more closely at our communities by focusing on what is needed by helping to come up with ideas on how to make communities a safer place for our families. All in all this will be a great learning process. By way of contributing to the community growth every goal and accomplishment set by the foundation will act as a stepping stone for a positive future.

This sounds like a lot of work but with time, patience, and hard work it can be done one day at a time. I hope that young people will look up to those who will take part in the foundation and get inspired to do good things for the community. Not only will it be good for the community but it will also be good for the individual to know they have contributed in some way, shape, or form in keeping their community going in a positive direction.

MISSION 

The Nancy A. Herrin Foundation will support sources that provide necessary knowledge, skills, and tools for community citizens throughout Ohio to live a prosperous and healthy lifestyle while serving as an advocate for multiple causes.  The focus of the foundation is "simply helping others one donation at a time."
